New Pool Photometer for Quick and Easy Water Testing

Pool testing specialist Palintest has introduced the Pooltest 9 Professional pool photometer. Rugged, lightweight and compact, the photometer builds on the success of the Pooltest 9, probably the best-selling pool photometer in the world. The Pooltest 9 Professional is even easier to use thanks to a large, fully backlit LCD screen, an adaptive tube holder and automatic wavelength selection. It is also fully waterproof and can be submerged for up to half an hour in a metre of water.

All the water parameters that need regular checking in pools treated with chlorine, bromine or ozone can be measured quickly, easily and accurately. The tests cover free and total chlorine, total bromine, ozone, pH, copper, alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid. Designed to be easy to use, even by someone with no experience, each test takes about one minute from sample collection to result. Results are displayed in mg/l or ppm.

Sealed to IP67, the photometer can be safely used poolside or in the plant room. The sample containing a reagent is simply placed in the unique adaptive cell holder and a button pressed to set the test method. The cell holder automatically adjusts to any round tube size, and the required light wavelength is automatically selected for the programmed method.

The photometer comes in a kit complete with all the items required, including long-life, foil-packed tablet reagents and sample tubes. Also available are Palintest’s long-life plastic sample tubes for safe poolside use. Made of a sturdy, high-density plastic which resists scratching, they provide an accurate result when used in the photometer.
